We’ve got a message for you coming right from the Baobab storybook 🍈, a world filled with wonders!

This animation short was created in Motion Light Lab, using motion capture technology and 3D animation. We captured data from a Deaf native signer, and then we placed the data with our custom rigged 3D character (the girl) from The Baobab VL2 Storybook App.

We also applied data to the snowman, another rigged 3D character. Our 3D animator built the world, supported by our storybook artist. Our goal is to build fluent signing characters for Deaf children to learn, enjoy, and engage with. And, as the short animation shows… the magic is in language access and equity.
